Artificial Sweeteners and Diabetes: What is their role in blood sugar and weight management (#105 - 7/18/12)
Artificially sweetened food and beverages have been on the market in the U.S. since the late 1950s and early 1960s, when soda pop, most notably products like Diet Rite cola, Tab cola, and Fresca were produced with cyclamates. Often these products were blended with another artificial sweetener, saccharin.

American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions 2012 (#104 - 6/15/12)
I've just returned from the American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions in Philadelphia where exciting information was presented on topics such as artificial pancreas systems, a new large type 1 diabetes registry, hypoglycemia, new insulins and other drugs in development, prediabetes management, and some large studies on insulin use in cardiovascular disease and insulin and cancer.
